VTTV Training Platform

VTTV have developed a ground-breaking computer-based video training and assessment solution which simply and effectively provides a platform for integrating audio-visual training material, traditional text-based study material and an assessment mechanism. It is an extensible and configurable solution that can be used to define a specific training curriculum, associate users with qualification tracks and then monitor and assess their progress and competence.

Features

Customised training material
Our visual training platform can be used to visualise, develop and implement any training material. We offer a unique service that customises our clients existing training material and visualises the material to become a site-specific learning experience learners can train on and relate to, by seeing the visuals with their own colleagues , on their own working sites. This provides them with training that clearly defines their roles and responsibilities.

Report Structure
Detailed reports can be obtained from the visual training platforms database. These can be obtained for every individual learner. The reports records all training activity the learner has ever conducted.

Web-based training platform
All training material are loaded on a web-based training platform which gives the learner access to the training material 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Training can now commence at any time and in any place.

Assessment system
The training platform utilises pre-assessments, self-assessments and post-assessments to measure theoretical competence through multiple choice questionnaires. Each question is linked to the different visual training video clips the learners will be required to view when conducting training.

Pre-assessment: The pre-assessment measures the theoretical knowledge learners possess, prior to the learning visual learning experience. The training platform is designed to eliminate the video clips from the training process that the learner answered correctly. The learners will only be expected to view the visual clips on the questions that they answered incorrectly.

Self-assessment: After viewing the video clips the learner can conduct a self-assessment to see if they are prepared and ready to conduct the post-assessment.

Post-assessment: The final assessment to measure if they are theoretically competent. Learners will be expected to score a 100% in the post-assessment in order to be declared theoretically competent. If they answered any questions wrongly they will be expected to view the video again, or to re-do the post-assessment until they score a 100%

Clear apprehensibility
We write and record the visual and written study material in plain, uncomplicated English that would be understandable for learners at all levels. Learners can clearly and precisely see and hear what they are trained on for maximum understanding.

Year-round Access
As the visual training platform is web-based, learners can have year-round access to their visual training material. As long as they have internet they can access their training from any location, at any time.

Benefits

Saves on training time
Learners are only required to learn on the aspects they don’t have the knowledge on, which is determined by the training platforms utilisation of pre-assessment that identifies existing knowledge. The platform is designed to prevent learners from training on theoretical knowledge they already know as they will only view the clips on the questions that they got wrong in the pre-assessment.

Individual, self-paced learning
Learners can now train at their own tempo as they can view the training video clips as many times as they like to score 100% in the post-assessment, which is the compulsory score to be declared theoretically competent by the platform.

Bridges the gap between theory and practice
By receiving visual training learners can now have a clear understanding of what the workplace will look like and of what will be expected of them. The visual training platform will prepare learners much quicker to commence with practical training, after they have mastered the theoretical content.

Saves on cost
Because learners are only expected to train on the aspects they don't have the knowledge on, a lot of training time is saved. This ensures that workers can return to the workplace much sooner, which allows them to be more productive.
As any training material can be visualised, the company can visualise courses where they usually hired external consultants to do the training. The material will now be available immediately, at any time of the day and can be presented by the training facilitator on site.

100% theoretical competence
The training platform is designed that each and every learner who participates in the visual training process must achieve a 100% in their post-assessment, on the theoretical content of the video clips. This ensures that learners are 100% aware on all the theoretical aspects they trained on.

Detailed report structure
The visual training platform has a reporting structure that allows the learning facilitator to compile training reports for each individual learner. The platform compiles a databases on all training conducted through the utilisation of the visual training platform. These are detailed reports that record all the training the learner has received throughout their career with the company.

Site Specific
All visual training videos are recorded on the learners physical working site. The learner will view and train on visuals that are familiar to them and which they can relate to. The visual training clips are recorded using the employees themselves in the clothes that they work in and in the environment they operate in.

Legal support
Should a fatality or an accident occur on the job, employers have instant access to all training records. This will assist in proving that the employees did receive the necessary training and information to do their jobs safely and effectively.
